Service Call Fee Guidelines

BOOROCK LLC

Effective Date: March 2, 2026

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

1.  Service Call Fee — Definition and Scope.

A “service call fee” is a fee that a Patron pays to a Provider for completing an on-site visit to diagnose, assess, or evaluate a service need at the Patron’s property. A service call fee compensates the Provider for the Provider’s time, travel, and expertise in arriving at and conducting an on-site inspection. A service call fee is payment for services rendered. It is not a cancellation penalty, a booking fee, or a charge imposed by or payable to BOOROCK.

Service call fees apply exclusively to Paid Service Call bookings. Quote requests and Free Service Call bookings do not carry a service call fee.

2.  Provider-Set Fees; BOOROCK’s Limited Role.

Each Provider sets their own service call fee during onboarding and may update it at any time through their account settings. Fees are set on a per-service-category basis; a Provider offering services in more than one category may elect a different fee for each category. BOOROCK does not set, recommend, or influence the specific dollar amount a Provider charges, subject to the guardrail requirements described in Section 3. Any informational notice that the Platform displays to a Provider regarding typical fee ranges for a service category and geographic area is advisory only and does not constitute a recommendation or direction by BOOROCK.

BOOROCK’s role with respect to service call fees is limited to: (a) enforcing the minimum and maximum guardrail limits described in Section 3; (b) disclosing the applicable fee to the Patron at booking; (c) collecting the fee from the Patron on behalf of the Provider upon verification of arrival; and (d) remitting the fee to the Provider in accordance with Section 7.

3.  Guardrail Parameters.

All service call fees must fall within the platform-defined fee range for the applicable service category. Guardrails are category-specific, reflecting differences in the time, travel, and expertise required across different trades. The current guardrail parameters for each service category are published on the Platform. At launch, all service call fees fall within an overall range of $25.00 to $250.00; category-specific minimums and maximums within that band are published separately. The Platform will not permit a Provider to save a fee amount outside the permitted range for their category.

BOOROCK reserves the right to adjust guardrail parameters from time to time. BOOROCK will provide Providers with not less than thirty (30) days’ written notice before any adjustment to the guardrail parameters takes effect.

4.  Disclosure to Patrons; Fee Lock.

The applicable service call fee is disclosed to the Patron at two points prior to booking confirmation:

(a) Provider profile. The Provider’s service call fee is displayed on the Provider’s profile alongside the Provider’s cancellation policy, ratings, and verification status.

(b) Booking confirmation screen. Before confirming a Paid Service Call booking, the Patron is presented with a disclosure block identifying the exact service call fee amount, the circumstances under which it will be charged, and the circumstances under which it may be refunded.

The service call fee amount disclosed at the time of booking confirmation is the fee that applies to that booking. If a Provider updates their service call fee after a booking has been confirmed, the change applies only to future bookings and does not affect the confirmed booking.

5.  Arrival Verification; Condition of Fee Collection.

A service call fee is charged only after the Provider’s arrival at the Patron’s location has been verified through all four of the following steps:

(1) Timestamped arrival. The Provider marks their arrival in the Platform application.

(2) Location verification. The Provider’s device location is confirmed to be within the expected proximity of the Patron’s service address.

(3) On-site photo. The Provider submits a photo uploaded from the Patron’s location.

(4) Patron acknowledgment. The Patron confirms the Provider’s arrival through the Platform application or by responding to a Platform-generated text message.

The fee is not charged when the Provider is in transit or when the Provider marks themselves as en route. The fee is charged only after all four verification steps are complete. If any verification step cannot be completed due to a technical issue (including, without limitation, GPS unavailability), the Platform’s support team will review the available evidence and determine whether the fee should be collected and released. BOOROCK’s determination in such a review is consistent with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in Section 8.

6.  Cancellations; Fee Treatment by Scenario.

The following table describes the treatment of a service call fee depending on the circumstances of cancellation or non-performance:

Circumstance Fee Treatment
Patron cancels before arrival verification is complete No service call fee is charged. No amount is owed by the Patron in connection with the service call fee.
Patron cancels after arrival verification is complete The full service call fee is charged to the Patron. The Provider completed the visit; the fee is earned and remitted to the Provider.
Provider cancels before arrival verification is complete No service call fee is charged.
Provider cancels after arrival verification is complete The service call fee is not remitted to the Provider. The Patron receives a full refund of any service call fee amount that was collected. BOOROCK absorbs applicable payment processing costs in connection with such refund.
Patron no-show; Provider has completed arrival verification BOOROCK’s support team will review available evidence, including arrival verification records. If the Provider’s arrival is confirmed, the service call fee will be charged to the Patron and remitted to the Provider. The Patron will be notified of the determination consistent with Section 8.

7.  Collection and Remittance.

BOOROCK collects the service call fee from the Patron on behalf of the Provider. The Patron’s payment method on file is charged after all four arrival verification steps are complete. BOOROCK remits the full service call fee amount to the Provider. BOOROCK does not deduct any portion of the service call fee as a platform charge. BOOROCK absorbs applicable payment processing costs associated with service call fee collection and remittance. Remittance to the Provider follows the same payout schedule as other Provider earnings on the Platform.

BOOROCK’s obligation to absorb applicable payment processing costs under this Section is subject to change upon notice consistent with Section 11 of these Guidelines.

8.  Disputes; BOOROCK’s Reserved Rights.

A Patron who believes a service call fee was charged in error, or that the Provider did not arrive and complete the visit, may submit a dispute within forty-eight (48) hours of the visit through the Platform’s dispute resolution process (disputes@boorock.ai or through the in-app reporting function). BOOROCK will review available evidence, including arrival verification records, photographs, GPS data, and Platform communications. Disputes involving amounts above Fifty Dollars ($50.00) are escalated to human review by BOOROCK personnel.

BOOROCK reserves the right to override or void a service call fee in the following circumstances: (a) the Provider caused a cancellation; (b) a platform error resulted in incorrect fee collection; (c) safety concerns warrant relief; or (d) such override or void is the appropriate outcome of the dispute resolution review described in this Section. BOOROCK’s determination on any fee override or void is final with respect to the Platform’s remediation process.

Disputes not resolved through BOOROCK’s review process are subject to the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions set forth in the applicable Patron Terms of Service or Provider Service Agreement, as the case may be.

9.  Provider Conduct Standards for Paid Service Calls.

The following standards apply to all Paid Service Call bookings. These standards restate, for convenience, Provider obligations established in the Provider Service Agreement; they do not create additional or independent contractual obligations. In the event of any conflict between this Section and the Provider Service Agreement, the Provider Service Agreement controls.

A Provider who has set a service call fee and accepted a Paid Service Call booking is expected to: (a) arrive at the Patron’s location as scheduled and complete the on-site visit in good faith; (b) complete all four arrival verification steps as a condition of fee collection; (c) provide an honest assessment or diagnosis during the visit; and (d) not condition the quality or completeness of the on-site assessment on whether the Patron accepts a subsequent quote for additional work.

10.  Scope of Service Call Fee; Additional Work.

A service call fee covers the Provider’s travel to the Patron’s location, completion of an on-site inspection or diagnosis, and professional assessment of the service need. It does not cover any repair work, replacement parts, materials, or labor beyond the initial visit and assessment. If additional work is required, the Provider will submit a separate quote through the Platform. The Patron may accept or decline any such quote and is under no obligation to engage the Provider for any work beyond the initial assessment.

11.  Changes to These Guidelines.

BOOROCK may update these Guidelines from time to time. The following notice standards apply:

(a) Guardrail parameters. Changes to the minimum and maximum service call fee ranges will be communicated to Providers with not less than thirty (30) days’ written notice before taking effect.

(b) Material operational changes. Changes to the arrival verification requirements, the fee collection trigger, or the cancellation and refund framework will be communicated to both Patrons and Providers with not less than thirty (30) days’ written notice before taking effect.

(c) Non-material changes. Updates to administrative or procedural provisions that do not affect fee amounts, verification requirements, refund rights, or BOOROCK’s reserved rights may take effect upon publication with notice posted on the Platform.

The version of these Guidelines in effect at the time of booking confirmation is the version that governs the service call fee for that booking. The current version of these Guidelines is published at [URL to be determined] and is always accessible from the Platform.

12.  Governing Law.

These Guidelines are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Guidelines is subject to the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions set forth in the applicable Patron Terms of Service or Provider Service Agreement.
